Foshan, China. Country Garden's robotics unit reported 33 commercial robot types on more than 600 projects.
Country Garden's 2022 annual report, filed in April 2023, said its robotics unit Bright Dream Robotics had commercialized 33 types of construction robots and delivered more than 1,700 units to over 600 projects in 30 provinces.
A developer that builds its own robots
Bright Dream's robots cover concrete work, grinding, painting, spraying, measurement, flooring, tiling and site logistics. Most went to Country Garden's own developments, which gave the unit something most robot startups lack: a steady supply of jobsites.
Finishing at volume
Interior finishing robots for putty, sanding and paint make up a large part of the lineup. The report's numbers show how far deployment had spread before China's property slowdown reshaped the developer behind it.
