SWR reported ConBotics testing its MalerRoboter on a large Baden-Württemberg jobsite in Weil am Rhein - airless spray on walls and ceilings while painters supervise. Localization works; window recognition was still in AI development at the time of the piece.
Company English page: about 130 kg, dismantles into four parts in about a minute for floor changes, ConBotics app control, even coat at constant angle and distance. Aimed at projects from roughly 300 m² wall area upward.
Rental model while Berlin manufacturing scales; sales planned from 2025 on the site. TechnoMaler service pairs painting companies with the robot on large jobs. Labor shortage, not booth theater, is the SWR frame.
