YC Launch: James Emerick and Lewis. Tens of thousands of panels placed; more than double traditional crew productivity claimed on large US solar jobs.
Cosmic Robotics’ Y Combinator launch post is the founders’ public file. Cosmic-1 is a roughly 10,000-pound autonomous heavy-lift robot that picks ~90 lb panels and places them on racking. The company says it has already installed tens of thousands of panels and more than doubled traditional crew productivity on large US solar projects.
Roadmap in the same post: scale solar, move into hyperscale data-center construction, and work with NASA on lunar construction robotics. Team roots: Built Robotics / Autodesk Research and NASA JPL / SpaceX / Relativity.
Those panel counts and productivity multiples are founder claims on the YC page. Treat them as such until EPCs publish matching numbers. The machine class and jobsite intent are clear.
