The 450, 550 and 650 P-Tier get Topcon or Leica grade control.
In October 2024 John Deere rolled out the next generation of SmartGrade on its three smallest dozers, the 450, 550 and 650 P-Tier. The system now works with both Topcon and Leica Geosystems.
What changed
Deere says no daily setup or calibration is needed at start-up. A 10-inch G5 touchscreen splits the view between jobsite plans and grade. Owners can choose EZ Grade, Slope Control, 2D grade control or full 3D SmartGrade.
Remote help
Dealers can troubleshoot through Wireless Data Transfer and Remote Display Access in the John Deere Operations Center.
Why it matters
Grade control that works from the first minute helps new operators hit grade sooner.
