Ekso Bionics unveils EVO for overhead work

A passive, spring-loaded arm-support exoskeleton for construction.

In August 2020 Ekso Bionics unveiled EVO, a passive upper-body exoskeleton for overhead work in construction and industry.

How it works

EVO is spring-loaded and needs no power. It gives 5 to 15 pounds of lift support per arm and works with standard fall-safety harnesses.

First site customer

Construction Equipment reported that EGM Builders would use the exoskeleton on site.

Why it matters

Overhead drilling and fastening wear out shoulders. A light, unpowered suit is an easy first step for crews.
