Emesent, 28 April 2026: Hovermap LiDAR payload certified for FLIR UAS/UGV - GPS-denied 3D maps in tunnels and structures.
Emesent announced Hovermap certification in Teledyne FLIR Defense’s Third-Party Payload Integration Program at Modern Day Marine 2026. Goal: GPS-denied 3D mapping on FLIR air and ground platforms.
Hovermap SLAM maps without GPS. On SkyRanger R70 / R80D SkyRaider and SUGV 325, operators get persistent 3D awareness; paired with MUVE R430 radiation detection, CBRN teams see geo-referenced hot spots on the same map.
Construction and industrial inspectors already run Hovermap for GPS-denied as-builts. The FLIR certification is the public interoperability file.
