The autonomous mapping drone maker gets a strategic investor.
On 23 December 2022 TechCrunch reported that India's Reliance had backed Exyn Technologies in a $35 million funding round. Reliance bought a 23.3% stake.
What Exyn does
Exyn's drones and ground systems map places with no GPS, such as underground mines, using lidar and SLAM.
Why it matters
Mapping without GPS opens up tunnels and the insides of buildings to autonomous capture.
