October 2008. The DXR line began with one remote-controlled machine for light, indoor demolition.
Husqvarna announced its first remote-controlled demolition robot, the DXR 310, on 28 October 2008. The company said production would begin in November 2008, with sales planned for the first quarter of 2009.
Built for tight rooms
The DXR 310 was aimed at light demolition, indoor work and sensitive industrial settings. Husqvarna's release listed a 5.5-meter reach, a 78-centimeter width so it could pass through doorways, and a Bluetooth remote control.
Why remote matters
Breaking concrete by hand means vibration, dust and falling debris. A remote machine lets the operator stand back from all three. Equipment World and Middle East Construction News later covered newer generations of the DXR range, which still follows the same idea.
