KEWAZO raises $16 million to put more LIFTBOTs on plants

March 2026. A Series A extension for the scaffold-hauling robot lift, with Chevron and Asahi Kasei on the cap table.

KEWAZO closed a $16 million Series A extension in March 2026, Axios and The Robot Report reported. Schooner Capital led, with Chevron Technology Ventures and Asahi Kasei among the investors. Total funding reached about $35 million.

What LIFTBOT does

LIFTBOT is a battery-powered robotic lift that runs up a scaffold and carries the material crews used to pass hand to hand or lift by crane. KEWAZO aims it at scaffolding, maintenance, turnarounds and capital projects in heavy industry.

Where the money goes

The company said the round will expand deployment capacity, add workflows and integrate deeper with customer sites. On a refinery turnaround the scaffold goes up and comes down on a tight clock, and every lift a robot carries is one fewer person hauling tube up a ladder.
