LAYERED’s Gebert Rüf portfolio note describes Switzerland’s first autonomous mobile robot for construction surface finishing - spray plaster via an XR interface on a standard iPhone, aimed at non-expert operators and less waste.
Validated in a Lupfig mockup lab, then two live Swiss sites in October 2025 (Groupe Egli in Wangen bei Olten; Tip Top Gipsergeschäft AG in Egnach), TRL 7. Paid PoCs with materials leaders and a French GC; first French site June 2026; facade PoC for European Commission JRC in Ispra.
Spun from ETH Zurich November 2024. Innosuisse follow-on CHF 1.6M. First series in production; Swiss commercial phase beginning September 2026 per the foundation write-up.
