PR Newswire, 25 March 2026: AES-incubated Maximo scaled to a four-robot fleet. Over one module per minute; up to 24 modules per shift-hour per person.
Maximo, the solar robotics company incubated by AES, announced 100 megawatts of utility-scale module installation at AES’s Bellefield complex. The project grew from a single robot to a coordinated fleet of four units working beside skilled union technicians.
Version 3.0 performance in the release: consistently over one module per minute, with crews installing as many as 24 modules per shift hour per person - nearly double traditional output in the region. Version 4.0 was named as the next major release.
AES’s own Maximo write-up frames full mechanical install - pick, place, fasten - with people detection and human-in-the-loop controls. The 100 MW mark is the public shift from pilot to sustained commercial production.
