Okibo announced a $7.85 million equity round in March 2024, co-led by BitStone Capital and Shadow Ventures. Built-in Tech, Pi Labs, NOVA by Saint-Gobain and DAW also took part.
What the EG7 does
The EG7 is an autonomous, battery-powered robot for interior finishing. Okibo aims it at drywall sanding, Level 4 and Level 5 finishing, painting and coating, the long, dusty passes that decide whether a wall looks right under raking light.
Strategic backers
Two of the investors make the materials the robot puts on the wall: Saint-Gobain through NOVA, and DAW, the German paint maker. NOVA Saint-Gobain also lists a further investment in Okibo announced on 20 February 2025.
