RoadPrintz paints arrows from inside the cab

Cleveland. The Electra100 truck-mounted arm paints crosswalks, stop bars and arrows while the crew stays out of traffic.

RoadPrintz, a Cleveland company, builds the Electra100, a robotic arm mounted on a truck that paints detailed pavement markings. The City of Houston demonstrated it live at PWX 2026.

The crew stays in the truck

Arrows, crosswalks, stop bars and custom text are usually painted by people on foot in a live lane. With the Electra100 the operator lays out the marking on a touchscreen, cameras and sensors line it up, and the arm paints it. WKYC and News 5 Cleveland have both covered the company's pitch: take road crews out of traffic.

How agencies get one

RoadPrintz offers the Electra100 for rent or purchase. It can also place and pick up safety cones. The company's news page lists agencies including Houston and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
