Jardine Schindler / Elevator World: autonomous self-climbing install robot. Shaw Tower Singapore, April–June 2025. Five units worldwide.
Schindler’s Robotic Installation System for Elevators (R.I.S.E.) is the company’s self-climbing hoistway robot - scan for obstacles and rebar, drill, set anchor bolts. Jardine Schindler put one on the Shaw Tower redevelopment in downtown Singapore in April 2025; work completed around May–June 2025.
Elevator World: one of five such robots globally, traveling site to site. Shafts up to about 500 meters. Lendlease’s Ben Hobbins framed it as working safer and smarter on the Green Mark Platinum mixed-use tower.
Hot, dusty hoistway bolt work used to mean a person in the shaft. R.I.S.E. is Schindler’s published answer with a named Singapore job.
