Skydio launched the X10 on 20 September 2023 at its Ascend event in San Francisco. CEO Adam Bry wrote that it was built for first responders, infrastructure operators and the US and allied militaries.
Enterprise pivot
TechCrunch noted Skydio had shut down its consumer drone business the month before. The X10 marked a full turn toward enterprise customers.
Construction use
Inside Unmanned Systems listed construction among the target industries, alongside energy, transportation and communications.
Why it matters
Autonomous flight that does not need an expert pilot makes regular site and structure scans more practical.
