August Robotics raises $30M Series B

Company: downward-drilling fleets for data centers; Lionel marked 300M+ sqft.

August Robotics announced a US $30 million Series B on 21 May 2026 led by Big Pi Ventures, with Blackbird, Skip Capital, Tanarra, Future Family Office, and GS Futures. Founder Alex Wyatt’s platform localizes robots, plans tasks, coordinates fleets, and corrects errors in real time.

Current product push: autonomous downward-drilling robot fleets for large prefabricated construction, starting with AI data-center slabs, in strategic partnership with Stanley Black & Decker’s DEWALT brand. Company says those drills are already on hyperscale sites in the US and Europe.

First product Lionel - autonomous floor-marking fleets for exhibitions and large indoor spaces - is cited at more than 300 million square feet marked across five continents. Seven hubs across US, Asia, Australia, and Europe, including new Athens EMEA and Melbourne AI R&D.
