BuiltWorlds 2026 Robotics Top 50: Hilti Jaibot, developed with nLink, drills BIM-coordinated ceiling anchors for MEP on commercial and data-center decks.
BuiltWorlds’ 2026 Robotics Top 50 still lists Jaibot under Hilti: an autonomous ceiling-drilling robot for MEP installs, developed with Norwegian robotics firm nLink. It reads BIM-coordinated plans, navigates to each drill point, and cuts anchor holes with millimeter-class precision so large commercial and data-center decks are not weeks of overhead hammer work.
Hilti’s own launch file (Oct 2020, PR Newswire / ENR): Jaibot is a semi-autonomous, cordless ceiling drill for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Operators remote-drive between zones; within reach the arm drills from the digital plan with dust extraction. Positioning uses the Hilti PLT 300 total station; job files come from Revit or AutoCAD via Hilti cloud and the PLC 400 tablet.
ENR covered the same unveil: holes in a roughly six-foot work envelope, six-axis arm, progress syncing back to the design system so the office sees what was drilled. Overhead concrete drilling is one of the trades that wrecks shoulders. Jaibot is Hilti’s published fleet answer — still the BuiltWorlds Top 50 cue in 2026.
